We are seeking a reliable and experienced Lead Welder Supervisor to oversee our welding department and ensure daily operations meet safety, quality, and production goals.
Supervise and coordinate the activities of a team of welders and fabricators.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
Assign tasks, manage workloads, and ensure deadlines are met.
Conduct quality inspections to ensure welding work meets company and industry standards.
Train new welders on procedures, equipment, and safety protocols.
Troubleshoot welding and fabrication issues as they arise.
Maintain inventory of welding supplies and request materials as needed.
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with OSHA safety regulations.
Collaborate with production managers and engineering to improve workflow and resolve issues.
Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including job reports and inspection logs.
5+ years of hands-on welding experience (MIG, TIG, Stick), preferably in a heavy-duty manufacturing setting.
2+ years of experience in a supervisory or lead role.
Strong knowledge of metal fabrication and welding techniques.
Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
Welding certification preferred (e.g., AWS).
Forklift certification is a plus.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
